How a Dream, a Domain Name, and a Leap of Faith Started It All
Hi, I’m Jill Lund, founder of The Lash Bar.
In 2005, before lash extensions were everywhere (in fact before most people even knew what they were), I happened upon a short article in an obscure magazine that introduced me to the possibilities of eyelash extensions, and I had the immediate notion that these were going to be big.
I had just started my career in aesthetics, but I knew lashes were the future and what I wanted to focus on exclusively. Not as an add-on. Not as a trend. But as something that could completely change how women felt about themselves. Back then, wax bars and dry bars were a fairly new concept and they were becoming wildly popular. Watching this I thought, “Why not a lash bar?” Soo I sprinted to my computer,fingers crossed, to secure thelashbar.com domain name. I sprinted to my computer to secure thelashbar.com domain name, fully expecting it to be taken. When it wasn’t, I realized something incredible—no one had done this before. The Lash Bar wasn’t just a name. It was the first of its kind.
The First Lash Bar… Ever
What most people don’t realize is:
The Lash Bar was the very first lash bar to ever open. Not just in Arizona, but in the United States.
There was no blueprint. No roadmap. No industry standard. We created something entirely new, from the ground up. Every technique, every process, every decision was shaped by real experience, real clients, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
From Education to Aesthetics And Everything In Between
Before beauty, my path looked very different.
I attended UNLV, where I earned a degree in education. I fully expected to step into a classroom, but life had other plans. I stayed home with my young children and poured myself into raising them. When they were finally ready to head off to school, I realized it was my opportunity to go out and make a professional name for myself.
That’s when I decided to go after a long-held passion for the beauty industry and enrolled in aesthetics school. What started as a career shift quickly became a calling.
Built With Heart, Grit, and a Lot of Care
Since day one, The Lash Bar is more than just lashes. It’s been about confidence, connection, and care.
Beautiful results should never come at the expense of safety, comfort, or trust. That belief shapes everything, from our techniques and training to the experience we create for every client who walks through our doors.
Twenty years later, that same philosophy still guides us.

Trends come and go. Social media changes. But relationships, integrity, and experience last.
The Lash Bar has grown because of the incredible clients who have trusted us year after year, many of whom have been with us since the very beginning. We’ve had the honor of serving generations of women, celebrating milestones, and being part of everyday routines and once-in-a-lifetime moments.
And we don’t take that lightly. Ever.
